Lower Tamar Specimens and not just carp!

All rounder Aaron Bunning had a cracking session on Lower Tamar this week with his targets being a 2lb roach and 10lb bream! Amazingly he caught both!! here’s his report: ‘Decided to target the roach and bream for a change, awesome fun on the light gear. had 15-20 roach to 2lb 4oz, 3 bream including 2 doubles of 11lb 6oz and 10lb 4oz as well as a few trout and perch. all fish were caught on 12mm Scopex Squid boilie or maggot hookbaits over quite a lot of maggot, caster, hemp, pellet and groundbait’.

Some stunning carp from North Devons trusty South West Lakes carp waters!

 

(Below) Carl Watkins  had this beauty from Lower Tamar yesterday. ‘25.2 caught with a single 14mm vitalbaits kraken pop up over 18mm kraken freebies soaked in vitalbaits robin red and black squid, and salmon protein hydrolysate‘.

(Below)Karl Yates had a cracking session on Melbury at the weekend. 6 fish to 23.10 with three over 20lb!

(Below)Mervyn Beale has been back on Upper Tamar and rewarded with this lovely 21lb Mirror and 16lb Common yesterday. 20mm Nash Scopex Squid boilie doing the trick for Merv with a 5 bait stringer.

(Below) Tim Surridge has this 20lb common from Upper Tamar on his first visit to the venue. Tim also caught two more to just over 16lbs. Fishing the lookout swim with Cornwall Baits red seed and special occasion boilies.

Lower Tamar – Well done to Steve Owen who between him and his friend Matt they had 11 runs with this 24lb 2oz common being the best of the bunch and the smallest 14lb. They Also had several big bream!

(Below) Thomas ‘Rushers’ Rushby & Harry ‘HBomb’ Collins had a productive few days  on the glorious Lower Tamar Reservoir in Devon.

The pair ended on 10 fish between them with a couple of unfortunate loses aswell. Tactics wise the boys put their faith in Sticky Baits Krill boilies fished alongside  Lakebed Leads products.

(Below) Barry Lee has this cracking 14.10 common from lower Tamar over the weekend in pretty cold conditions. Barry cast to showing fish at 120 yards range and caught on a tiny popup and stick bag.
