Dave Jenkins was delighted to bank a new personal best carp of 39lb 2oz whilst fishing day ticket Torridge Carp lakes.
BIg Carp on the Feed in mild conditions
The mild weather is proving ideal for the regions carp anglers with some stunning carp caught over the Christmas period. Forty pound plus fish have been caught from Furzebray Carp Lakes, Riverton and Torridge Carp Lakes.
Torridge lakes first carp of over forty pounds has been banked by Jamie Everard. The common has been sighted several times in recent months but has not been banked since April when it scaled 35lb 4oz.
Paul Prowse also enjoyed success at the venue banking a fine mirror carp scaling 32lb 8oz.

Torridge Carp Lakes Success
David Jenkins normally targets sea fish but decided on a change of scenery targeting carp at Day Ticket Torridge Carp Lakes. He was rewarded with a superb carp of 28lb 6oz.
Torridge Carp Lakes Latest Catches
Dave Rothery stated that that he caught several carp at Torridge Carp lakes fishing over crushed/ chopped and whole Boilie combo.
These two commons went 20lb 4oz and 22lb 12oz.
Matt Davidson fished a four nighter and went in heavy with the bait, resulting in three carp of 19lb14oz, 24lb 2oz and 24lb 12oz.
Torridge Carp Lakes Latest Catches
Torridge Carp Lakes have been fishing well with fish to over thirty pounds gracing the bank. Chris Bissett caught a stunning 32lb 14oz fully scald mirror carp. Stephen Thorne banked fish off 22lb 8oz, 20lb 6oz and 16lb 6oz. Taro Bell banked a 26lb 8oz mirror carp. Shaun Holland caught a 23lb mirror whilst his young daughter Harmonie banked a 20lb 3oz mirror.
Torridge Carp Lakes – In Fine Form
North Devon’s recently open Torridge Carp lakes have been fishing well over recent weeks with numerous twenty pound plus carp. Rob Jewell enjoyed an overnight session banking five carp to 33lb 7oz.
