BIlly Grant tempted this fine mirror carp  on lodge lake at  30lb 2oz it is a new personal best.

Hi all here is a message just sent from ‘French Dave’ thank you for your kind words  good to see you again
“Back home after another great week at the only venue I fish, why go anywhere else!! I managed to catch 21 carp of which 9 were over 20lbs and the largest were both just over 28lbs a mirror and a common. Prettiest fish of the week a superb looking linear weighing 23lbs and photos below of the linear and the 2 biggest fish. Already looking forward to my next visit before the end of September. I am always made very welcome by Jo, Paul, Millie and Wayne, thank you guys and the way the fishery is maintained is exceptional!!”

The South Westerly winds and unsettled conditions are perfect for carp fishing.

(Above) Dean and Gary banked  25 fish  from the beach swim on Beatties lake glad you both had a fabulous time especially after driving all the way from Kent !

(Above) Pete Lilley who banked 6 fish from Beatties lake including a new pb  stunning 28lb 4oz common.

In 1st place was Matt Parsons on Tanners lake with 206lb 4oz from peg 6.
In 2st place was lodge guest Steve Pearce on Woodpecker lake with 192lb 7oz
In 3rd place was lodge guest Simon Hunter on Tanners lake with 180lb 12oz from peg 15
In 4th place was lodge guest Paul Casson on Woodpecker lake with 175lb 3oz from peg 15
Sunday 25th June
In 1st place was Ben Evenden on Tanners lake with 326lb 15oz from peg 1
In 2st place was Nigel Rhodes on Woodpecker lake with 250lb 7oz from peg 11
In 3rd place was lodge guest Simon Hunter on Tanners lake with 149lb 8oz

The winner of Stafford Moors May Festival 2023 is Tommy Hillier ! Who’s total points were 5 and a total weight of 488lb 1oz.
In 2nd place with 6 points and a total weight of 760lb 12oz was Ben Evenden.
In 3rd place with also 6 points with a total weight of 516lb 12oz was Lee Werrett.
The largest weight of the week was 302lb 10oz from Ben Evenden from peg 1 on Woodpecker lake on the final day.
The largest silver bag of the week was 51lb 9oz from David Willmott from peg 5 on Pines lake on day 1

Stafford Moor – Voted one of the best !

Stafford Moor fishery has recently been voted one of the best carp fishing venues in the UK coming sixth in Angling Times recent poll

Dan Gunn and his friend Adrian  fished on the double swim 1 up on lodge lake  they banked 7 fish  up to 26lb. The guys were using Krill 20mm boilies glugged & Mainline Hybrid wafters.

( Below) Scott Allan who fished from swim 2 on lodge lake and had 11 fish out up to 27lb , all fish were caught on Mainline cell boilies.

Latest Carp Catches from Stafford Moor

(Below) Chris Tester tempted 3 carp up to 28lb from the inlet swim on Beatties lake , Chris was using Sticky Baits Manilla wafters and Maxattract baits slab liquid.

(Below) Paul Painter & son Jack who fished up on beach 1 swim 14 on lodge lake they had 12 fish out and both now have new pbs! Pauls new pb is a 33lb 2oz mirror and Jacks is a 30lb common using C C Moore live system boilies and frutellas.
