Combe Martin SAC member Kyle Bishop has caught a stunning thin lipped grey mullet of 5lb 3oz from the Taw estaury using fly fishing tactics. The fish is superb specimen in its own right but even more special having being tempted on fly fishing tactics pioneered by Colin Macloud.
Dan Spearman has enjoyed recent success with grey mullet banking thin lips of 4lb 15oz , 4lb 15oz, 4lb 10oz and 4lb 7oz. He also tempted a thick lip of 4lb 1oz.
Fellow Combe Martin SAC member Graham Snow has also enjoyed success with thin lips landing fish of 4lb 7oz and 4lb 9.5oz.
Combe Martin SAC members have been enjoying consistent sport with thin lipped mullet on baited spinners.
Dan Spearman enjoyed a successful session targeting thin-lipped grey mullet banking fish of 4lb 13oz, 4lb 2oz, 3lb 13oz and several other mullet of around 3lb. The session followed on from several blank sessions during the hot weather.
John Shapland caught this fine thin lipped grey mullet of 4lb 1/2oz using a baited spinner in the River Taw Estuary.

Thin Lipped mullet have been hard to find in the estuary over recent weeks but Combe Martin SAC member Graham Snow persisted and located a specimen thin lip of 3lb 9oz despite strong winds making fishing difficult.
