Tara Dobson fished on the summer hut swim of Beatties Lake and caught seven carp up to 26lb 6oz all fish were caught on banoffee snowman style.
(Below) James Richard Russell fished on swim 15 (Albert square) on Lodge Lake this weekend and had 6 fish out in 24 hours, James was fishing with Cornwall baits Occy with balanced hook baits , 14mm & 16mm freebies.
Several thirty pound plus carp have been banked at Stafford Moor over the past week.

Matt Cross won Bideford Angling Clubs midweek evening match at Tarka Swims with 17lb 8oz. In runner up spot was Keith Mountjoy with 15lb 2oz and third Keith Copland with 15lb 1oz. Fourth was Martin Turner with 13lb 2oz and fifth Adam Wheeler with 13lb 1oz. Most fish were caught using pole and pellet tactics.
North Devon Match Groups Match at Oaktree was won convincingly by Tom Downing with 88lb 14oz. In runner up spot was Nathan Underwood with 42lb 13oz and in third Tim Brown with 40lb 6oz and fourth Martin Turner with 39lb 10oz.
The latest Open match at Stafford Moor saw Chris Davis secure victory with an impressive haul of 238lb. In runner up place was Des Shipp with 194lb 11oz and third James Cooper with 182lb 13oz.

What a team! What a superb venue! What an amazing weekend!!!! wrote Matthew Whiteside after visiting Stafford Moor for a social fishing trip on Beatties Lake.
Vader Baits Elite Team it was awesome to get out bankside with you! We have waited like everyone else to get out and get fishing again!! Stafford Moor Fishery was our first venue! Paul and Jo not only run one of the most beautiful venues in Devon but there attention to detail, their care for their anglers and their care for their lakes is the best I’ve ever seen! Jo was an absolute star over the hard times of trying to rearrange bookings for lots of anglers over this terrible time but she absolutely nailed it !!! I would recommend other fisheries to take note as this is the standard to run your establishment at without a doubt I’m so impressed and Vader Baits will be definitely be running lots more of its events from here!!! With such a superb back drop and so many of us biting at the bit to get on the bank again this felt really special as soon as we got there. The hear was the only thing that was to hamper the fishing a little it was so hot but it was’t long before one of the new Vader young guns was into a really old lovely mirror! Infact Aaron was into the fish before I’d even got my bivvy up, net out or rods made…Adrian Lazarus known as Lazamidi in the Vader ranks stole the show tho! With a little grizzle that he though he may well be in one of the tougher swims turned out he had two of the biggest fish of the event and went on to win the bait package and the very special Vader Baits carp cup 👊
Most of the team managed at least a couple of carp and others having 3 or 4 and unfortunately for a couple of the team it wasnt their day !!! In the end I think we had something like 25 carp over the weekend and in the conditions that was great work from the team and an absolutely awesome event !!! Again thank you team roll on our next social back at Stafford Moor and again massive thanks to Paul and Jo you guys have been brilliant!!!!
Joey Gould had 21 fish out up to 29lb which is a new pb for Joe from the inlet swim on Beatties lake. All fish were caught on our house pellet and Sticky Baits Krill boilies.

Chris Ayre fished a 48 hour session on the Inlet swim on Beatties lake and had 9 fish out including a new lake record of 36lb along with other carp of 31lb and 29lb. All the fish were tempted using Mainline Hybrid boilies.
(Below) Nigel Bassett fished on swim 2 (sunset swim) on lodge lake. Nigel had out 14 Carp to 29lb 12oz. Nigel was fishing with Sticky baits Manilla 12mm wafters.

The Combes family at Stafford Moor are delighted to be open again for fishing with carp anglers returning to the venue to enjoy the superb sport on offer. ,

Competitors in Stafford Moors March Silvers festival 2020 had to endure some atrocious wetware conditions but had some cracking weights despite the inclement conditions.
The worthy winner with just 4 points and a total weight of 114lb 4oz was the legend Des Shipp (Preston innovations ) who also celebrated his 50th Birthday!
In second place with also just 4 points and a total weight of 102lb 9oz was Des’s nephew Ryan Shipp.
In third place was just 5 points and a total weight of 95lb 14oz was Mark Goddard.
(Below) Liam Brookes fished on the inlet swim on Beatties lake and had 3 fish out . All fish were caught on Sticky Baits Manilla sizes 12mm, 16 & 20 all soaked in Manilla liquid Liam used a max of 20/30 Baits which he scattered over the top with a throwing stick.
(Below) Neil Harvey and his friend Simon Allsop fished the Dam wall on Lodge lake and banked three carp., Simon had a 28lb 8oz mirror , Neil had 2 fish out up to 27lb 8oz a new pb for Neil caught on cell glugged in cell hookbait dip also added a few sticky baits Manilla boilies & crushed cell , Korda almond goo.
