Stafford Moor Latest Catches

The warm weather certainly seems to have woken up the carp at the Moor with some stunning catches of fish up to thirty pounds. Anglers in T-Shirts in February! This time last year it was bitter cold with ice and snow!

 

(Below) Adam Atkins and his  dad John Atkins  fished up Lodge lake swims 2 & 3, they caught 6 fish  all caught on Sticky Baits Manilla 16mm Boilies and Buchenberry pop ups snow man style.

(Below)Mark LaMude  fished  on Albert square on Lodge lake. Mark banked three fish out up to 24lb 8oz caught on Marks home made boilies over a bed of Mainline cell boilies.

(Below)Tony Woods new pb of 27lb from swim 1 on lodge lake Tony was fishing with friend Ben Gill they had six fish out all caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies.

(Below)Kevin Issac who had 25 fish out up to 30lb from the summer hut swim on Beatties lake last week ! All caught on Sticky Baits Krill.

(Below)Aaron William Dale and friend Daryl banked five fish  between them and Aaron had a New pb of 26lb 8oz caught on Sticky Baits Manilla 12mm boilies & signature pop ups snowman style caught from swim 2 on Lodge lake.

Mild Weather brings carp on the feed at Stafford Moor

The milder conditions certainly seem to have encouraged Stafford Moor’s carp to go on the feed with some tremendous catches during the past week.

Jack Griffiths and Emily enjoyed a great session at Stafford Moor where they caught six fish  from the summer hut swim on Beatties lake up to 26lb. Emily had a 22lb mirror out and Jack had 2 x 26lb out all caught on OCD baits.

(Below)Jack Gattiker  fished for the first time  on swim 1 on lodge lake. Jack had 2 fish out up to 25lb caught on Sticky Baits 20mm Manilla boilies.

 

(Below) Mark Lamude banked three fish out from the beach swim on Beatties lake all caught on Mainline cell boilies topped with corn over a large bed of 15mm cell.

(Below)Debbie Stephens caught ten carp out up to 26lb from swim 2 on lodge lake in a 48 hour session ! All caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies.

Carp on the feed at Stafford Moor

(Above) Bob Seabourne caught this 24lb 11oz beauty Beatties lake on a single white pop up.

(Above) Adam Atkins and dad John Atkins fished up on lodge lake on swims 2 and 3. They had 10 fish out between them with a new pb each too ! Adam now has a new pb of 28lb 7oz and dads is 28lb on the nose all caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies and buchenberry pop ups.

Latest Carp catches at Stafford Moor

Jamie Everard  fished up on Stafford Moors Lodge lake and banked ten carp all caught on Bait-works Atlantic heat & small scent from heaven pop ups on top as a snowman fishing tight to the spit.

(Below) Adam Atkins fished on swim 1 with his dad John up on lodge lake and had 3 fish out all caught on Sticky Baits buchenberry pop ups on a Ronnie rig.

(Below) Dean Goodwill and friend Steve  had several carp from lodge lake and Beatties, Dean was using Himders Walters dipped in Betalin and Steve was fishing with Sticky baits krill & pink pop ups.

(Below)Graham Beer who had one out today in a day session up on lodge lake on swim 2 caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies.

Stafford Moor Carp Catches

Aaron Dale  fished up on Stafford Moors lodge lake and in a 24 hour session had ten fish out up to 24lb all caught on Sticky Baits 12mm Manilla boilies & trimmed pop ups.

Drew Davey  fished up on lodge lake on swim 2 and banked  six carp fish  in a 24 hour session up to 23lb 7oz all caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies with chopped Manilla pop

ups.

North Devon Match Group first Championship Match of 2019

North Devon Match Group had its first Championship match of 2019 at Stafford Moor today combined with our Champion of Champions from 2018, attendance was again good with 22 anglers fishing.


The match was evenly split between Oak and Woodpecker.
Winner on the day was Neilsen Jeffery with 76lb 11oz from peg 17 on woodpecker, all caught on corn from the margins.
Second place went to Nathan Underwood with 72lb 4oz from peg 3 on woodpecker and third went to Andrew Gratton with 60lb 4oz again from woodpecker.
Top weight on Oak was Paul Morris with 54lb and paul came second in the pools due to our continental pay out.
Oak was very close with Stuart Shelley Burridge, Craig Crash Lamey Kevin Shears’and Dodgy Hooks all within 5lb of Pauls weight.

Stafford Moor – Winter carp sport at the Moor

(Below) Ben Hopkins and his friend John  fished up on swim 1 (three islands) on Lodge lake. They caught two fish each both personal best with Ben banking fish of 24lb 10oz and John a personal best of 27lb 9oz. The fish were tempted on pink wafters and pink krill.

(Below)Drew Davey  had one mirror out weighing in at 19lb 2oz from Albert square (swim 15 )  on Lodge lake in a day session this weekend caught on Sticky Baits Manilla boilies topped with a chopped down yellow Manilla pop up.

(Below) The ‘Carpbusters’ Ade, Ju and Christie all had one fish each out today in a day session caught on Mainline cell, Sticky Baits Manilla and Krill from the beach swim and big fish corner on Beatties lake.

The first carp from moor in 2019

The first week of 2019 has been far from Ideal for carp angling with high pressure along with cold days and nights. Despite this anglers have caught some good carp from Stafford Moor a fishery that can be relied upon to keep producing a few results in even the worts conditions.

(Above)Andrew Levett  caught this mirror from swim 5 up on lodge lake caught on a Krill dumbbell topped with half a 10mm pink citrus.

(Above) Ben Hopkins  fished up on swim 1 on lodge lake yesterday and had 3 fish out in 24 hrs all caught on pink homemake wafters.

(Above)Ross Smith who was here with friends who fished on the summer hut swim on Beatties lake last week and and had 7 fish out between them.

(Above) Louie Morgan – Russell  had 7 fish out in 24 hours up on swim 2 on lodge lake yesterday all caught on cell boilies topped with corn.
