The carp just keep coming from Stafford Moor!!!

Stafford Moor has to be one of the regions most prolific fisheries with complex owner Joanne Combes keeping me busy most days with pictures of smiling anglers with splendid carp.

STAFFORD MOOR – TOP CARP CATCHES

Lee Galley and his son Nick Galley fished on Beatties lake for 48 hours they had 10 fish out using there own home made boilies on Gardener stiff rigs they had up to 26lb.

Lee Waring who fished Stafford Moorfor the first time enjoying a successful session  on beatties then on lodge lake using cc moore live system boilie’s he had a few fish out including this chunky mirror pictured below .

Stafford Moor Pairs Winners

Below is the latest result from Stafford Moor as sent to me by Joanne Combes:- Never do understand the points system perhaps someone could explain and I will put explanation on the site as an article!

The Pairs festival  at Stafford  was a 2 day festival with 78 guys fishing .  Winners were the same winners as last year who were Ben Hagg & Lee Werrett who won with just 4 points the perfect score ! In second place was Martin Preston & Scott Puddy with 5 points , in third place with 7 points was Peter Upperton & Robbie Taylor , in forth place with 9 points was Steve Ford & Chris Cameron.

Joanne Combes reported on the  open match on Tanners and Woodpecker lakes. Stating “Was hard fishing today as we have a lot of rain in the last 24 hours so a lot of cold water which affects the fishing.”

Any fishery that can produce top three bags on a hard day has to be pretty good in view!!

SUNDAY OPEN – September 4th

1st BEN BROXSON Peg 1 Woodpecker: 165lbs 1oz

2nd DAVE STOCKTON Peg 34 Woodpecker: 163lbs 1oz

3rd  JOHN MCGAN Peg 32 Woodpecker: 109lbs 10oz

TOP SPOT FOR DOUG AT STAFFORD

Doug Richardson took top spot in Stafford Moor’s Resident Match with 131lb 1oz of carp on the pole. A few days previously Doug landed 344lb from Woodpecker Lake.

2nd place was Ian Rowney peg 1 with 107lb 3oz fishing 8mm pellet

3rd place was Martyn Johns peg 25 with 74lb 12oz

Section winners were : Colin Cross peg 18 with 33lb 14oz and Mick Coupland peg 34 with 56lb 3oz

STAFFORD MOOR CARP CATCHES

Carp anglers had to ensure that their bivvy’s were well secured at the weekend as gale force winds swept across the country. Being out in the elements is all part of the excitement however and makes success ever sweeter.
