OVER 50s Festival Stafford Moor

Some awesome weights as always from this stunning venue.
“Hi all oh what a fabulous week!
Just want to say how we have loved having you all here for our Over 50’s Festival 2021 sponsored by MOSELLA UK. Talking of MOSELLA UK can you believe that our sponsor has only gone and won the festival what a liberty !!! Anyone would think he’s a good fisherman ! Haha oh a huge Well done Vic Bush  amazing ! Vic won with a perfect score of just 4 points and a total weight of 427lb well done Vic well deserved 👍 🥇🏆thank you Vic for all the spot prizes kindly donated by yourself most appreciated and thank you for sponsoring our festival.
In second place with a score of just 5 points and a total weight of 560lb 2oz was Mark Layzell well done Mark 🥈
In third place with a score of 6 points and a total weight of 583lb 1oz was Clayton Hudson well done Clayton 🥉

North Devon Match Group Versus Bideford AC Report from John Forster
 At the mega Stafford Moor Fishery Friends we had the first interclub against Bideford AC
With the Draw being done with Bideford choosing the bag with even numbers and the 2 lakes being used being Willow and Woodpecker of we went ,i drew peg 1 on Woodpecker which is a bit of a hit and miss peg , however i liked the look of it and hoped for the best
as the match progressed there was a fair bit of banter flying between the carp boys who we re also fishing a match on the speci lake actually really nice guy ,
i had set up 3 pole lines and a hybrid line and started on the method hitting 2 in the first 15 minutes ,
The pole lines were very quiet so back onto the tip this was the story all the way through the match
I would liketo say a big thanks To Martin Turner for sorting this for Bideford
To Jo and Paul for all the work they put into making Stafford one of if not the best Fishery in the UK ,
But at the end of the day NDMG 200 PTS BIDEFORD 151 POINTS
at the end i weighed in 112lb 03 to win the section and Nathan Underwood had 133.07 to win the Lake ,

Plenty of Personal bests from Stafford Moor

(Above) Drew Davey who fished up on Albert Square on Lodge Lake. Drew had 8 fish out up to 26lb which is a new pb !!
All Drew’s fish were caught on CC Moore 15mm pacific tuna boilies over 10mm Pacific tuna / house pellets and corn.
(Above) Dan Wallis banked 11 fish out from the inlet swim on Beatties lake. All fish were caught on CC Moore NS1 wafters.
(Above) Matt Thomas fished up on lodge lake in swim 15 (Albert Square) Matt had a total of 14 fish out up to 32lb 2oz which is now Matts new pb.
All fish were caught on Sticky baits krill boilies and house pellet.

Stafford Moor Carp Galore

Stafford Moor has been producing plenty of carp despite the cool Spring weather.

 

Findley with his  uncle John Bailey and between them they banked nine carp to 24lb 8oz from Fraggle rock swim 8 up on lodge lake.
All fish were caught on Sticky baits Krill wafters.
(Below) Ben Hopkins who was fishing on the inlet swim on Beatties lake and had 15 fish out up to 30lb (common ) all fish were caught on home made boilies.
(Below)Matt Dryer (Brixham bait and Tackle) had 9 fish from swim 1 on the dam wall on Beatties lake up to 27lb 8oz. All fish were caught on CC Moore live system boilies.
(Below)Harvey Chamberlain who stayed with us in Silver birch specimen lodge on Beatties lake with Ebony who are now engaged !
(Below)Matt Thomas and Beth who fished up on Albert square on lodge lake and had six fish in a 24 hour session.  All fish were caught on Sticky baits krill and house pellets. Matt’s best carp weighed 28lb 1oz and Beths best scaled 18lb 3oz.
( Below) Lewis Tregale who had 31Lb 6oz mirror out from swim 6 up on lodge lake caught on DNA slk boilies over slk pellets.

Big Bags From Stafford Moor

The latest  open match at Stafford Moor was held on Tanners and Woodpecker Lakes with a full house and continental payout.
Sam Powell was top  angler with a bag of  261lb 15oz from peg 1 on Woodpecker lake fishing long pole.
In 2nd place was Paul Goulding (lodge guest) with 216lb 8oz from peg 4 on Tanners.
In 3rd place was Dave Romain with 182lb 7oz from peg 20 on Woodpecker
  Next weeks Sunday match is already full  but there are still have some  this Wednesday so please Jo at Stafford Moor know if you would like to join the match.

Stafford Moor In Fine Carp Form

(Above) Bruce Julian caught 5 fish up to 27lb from swim 6 (the outlet) at the end of the dam wall on lodge lake. All fish were caught on Sticky baits krill 16mm boilies.

(Above) Ed Dyer first visit to Stafford Moor ! Ed had 7 fish from the beach swim on Beatties lake all fish were caught on LDM baits.

(Above) Liam Fry and friend Ryan banked ten carp up to 27lb 10oz from swim 2 (The sunset) up on lodge lake including a double taker all fish were caught on DNA SLK baits and S7 plus remix baits secret 12mm pop ups.

(Above) Matt Thomas who had a 20lb common out from the summer hut swim on Beatties lake caught with hot tuna & scopex boilies snowman style.

Stunning Winter Carp Action at the Moor

Stafford Moor continues to produce some stunning carp despite the cold winter conditions.

(Below) Darren Bakers fabulous 27lb 8oz ghostie caught from the beach swim on Beatties lake.

(Below) Mike Stemp who had 2 fish out from swim one up on lodge lake up to 29lb 8oz caught on Sticky bits krill boilies.

(Below) Chris Blythe  fished on swim 15 (Albert square) up on lodge lake and banked this 28lb beauty out on Jh baits Klf and carbon baits mini seed mix.

(Below) Andy Barnes & Ian Kendall enjoyed success banking carp of  27lb 7oz and Andy had a 19lb 14oz mirror from swim 14 (beach 1 swim) up on lodge lake  both  caught on Sticky baits Manilla boilies and cloudy Manilla.

(Below) Jimmy Knight and Jordan Rowe who had 11 fish out including Jordan’s 33lb 12oz beauty from the beach swim on Beatties lake, all fish were caught on Sticky baits krill boilies.
