Friday August 5th residents match Stafford Moor on Tanners and Woodpecker lakes. Weather was sunny most of the day , had a continental payout today , had a great winning weight from Stephen Crocker peg 36 with 132lb 4oz fishing 11mm on the lead, well done Steve ! (Who won it last year too )

Nielsen Jeffery secured a win at the latest match on Clawford Vineyards Fletchers lake with a net of 52lb 1oz all on corn. A successful match with everyone catching a good few fish. Second was Gary Thornton (in the blue top) with 32lb 14oz who caught most of his fish on 8mm pellet and third was Paul Ware with 29lb 13 oz.
Winner of Stafford Moors fisho festival was Dave Stockton who fished on peg 1 to land 164lb 2oz fishing 8mm pellet on the waggler who won £1000 .
The festival had one main winner then 4 more winners which were one in each of the four sections who each won £365.

Sundays Open match on July 24th was fished Tanners and Woodpecker lakes. Both lakes fished hard today especially Tanners lake. Our winner of the day was Phill Harwick Woodpecker peg 34 with 107lb 6oz fishing 8mm pellet on the waggler well done Phill ! Full match results are shown below.

Mid Week Open open on Tanners Lake, Winner was Mark Hayman peg 36 with 115lb 10oz fishing 11mm on the bomb. In in second place was Paul Goulding next door to Mark on peg 35 with 112lb 14oz fishing 8mm on the bomb.
Bideford & District Angling Clubs mid-week summer league has come to an end all to soon I am sure for those who have enjoyed the weekly fishing on their home water. Competition No10 was won by Matt Clare Cross with 12lb 10oz. In second was David Bailey with 8lb 12oz and in third Martin Turner on 4lb 12oz. Forth Craig Crash Lamey 3lb 4oz and fifth John Dyer…. Matt won the match on peg L with 2 pole caught carp, David Bailey took 2 fish on the lead on banded pellet.
Overall winner of the midweek series was John Lovell 82 pts 2nd Martin Turner 81pts 3rd David Bailey 4th Matt Clare Cross
John Forster organized an open match at Mill Pond near Berrynarbour where competitors enjoyed some great sport at this tranquil water. John commented that the day was enhance by plenty of friendly banter and the frequent glimpse of kingfishers darting to and fro. Bideford Angling Clubs Midweek Evening Match Tarka Swims saw David Bailey take first prize with 28lb 12oz. Second was Matt Cross with 6lb 15oz and third Martin Hawker with 6lb 12oz. John Lovell forth with 6lb 11oz and Craig Crash Lamey fifth with 2lb 9oz. Winner David Bailey took 5 carp on banded pellet fished on the lead. Second place was secured using pole and paste tactics.
