Ollie Passmore has been enjoying some superb estuary sport with thin lipped mullet banking these two spcimens of 4lb 5oz and 4lb 8oz in the past few days.
Stafford Moor – Sixty Carp Haul!
(Below)Wayne Grinney & his wife Jenny Grinney had an amazing 60 fish out from the inlet swim on Beatties lake. the fish were tempted with Nash Scope. squid and Sticky baits krill boilies.
(Below) Stan Robinson fished on Lodge lake swim 11 (beach 2) for the first time. He had 6 fish plus a new personal best of 20lb 10oz fishing with Nash coconut cream and strawberry crush as a snowman over a bed of 4mm sticky baits pellet all purchased from Stafford Moors on site tackle shop.

What a stunning carp!!
George Osbourne has banked “Angie’s” Common at a new top weight of 37lb 2oz and setting a new lake record for a common.
Horwood Lakes
A great start to the summer holidays for Jensen Bowden who fished at Horwood Lakes. First time coarse fishing and he managed to land 75 carp and tench altogether with the best mirror carp of just under 10lb, Jensen caught well on corn and waggler from the top lake. Cracking day.
Ollie enjoys ray session to remember
Ollie Passmore enjoyed a ray fishing session to remember beaching seven small eyed ray to 8lb 11oz and three spotted ray to 2lb 9oz.

Craig Edmunds has won Stafford Moors Fisho Festival 2018 with an impressive weight of 193lb 9oz. He used straight lead tactics and short range pole.

(Above) Ollie Passmore tempted this fine specimen thin lipped grey mullet weighing 4lb 8oz on a baited spinner in the river Taw Estuary.
Ollie Passmore with a stunning wrasse caught on a recent session. I suspect wrasse fishing will slow down for a few days after the rough and windy weekend. I suspect we will see a few big bass, smoothound and huss in the coloured water, don’t be afraid to use a big bait oozing plenty of scent!
Triple Hook Club – Shaun Foster Cup – Woolacombe Beach
Dennis Toleman secured top spot in Triple Hook Clubs Shaun Foster Cup beaching a fine small eyed ray scaling 9lb 4oz in runner up spot was Kevin Hancock with a small eyed ray of 4lb 6oz.
LADIES GET THE BLUES – Its the Reel Deal Birthday off Ilfracombe
Ladies day aboard Reel Deal (Dan Hawkins) off ilfracombe resulted in fabulous Blue sharks up to 90lb. Stacey Bayldon landed the first blue shark of the day, followed by Jade Jemmett, Michelle Bayldon and Sharon Feakes landing the biggest at 90lb. A truly amazing experience, life long dream achieved! A massive thank you to Daniel Hawkins and Archie Porter aboard Reel Deal for an amazing day, to Dave Stenson for embracing our madness and our helping hand and huge thank you to Phil Lewis for the best birthday present ever!

Final Midweek Comp Tarka Swims & Junior Event
Summer is passing by all too quickly and Bideford’s Evening League coming to an end is an indication of this. I have enjoyed receiving weekly updates from Martin Turner on this and must thank him for all the reports and images. Its also good to see the Junior events being well supported.

18 fished. Another warm summer evening was enjoyed by our members.Ian landed 3 large carp on the pole on float fished caster on peg U for top weight on the night and in the series, Ian finished the league in joint 4th place. Martin’s second place was secured with 2 carp and some skimmers on peg Q , this ensured that he retained the overall league title with 85 points, Cavan landed a single carp of 13lb 15oz on peg I for 3rd spot.

The decision to use the deeper pegs ,for our second Junior event, proved right, as some nice bags of fish were landed by our enthusiastic younger members.Adam was top weight with a lovely net of skimmer bream caught on the pole on red maggots of peg P. Second ,on the next peg Q, was younger of the Scott brothers ,Tom with a similar bag taken on a 4mtr. whip. In 3rd place on peg N was Tyler with another bream net taken on the long pole, Back up weights were roach and perch Brooke, unluckily, lost a winning carp after a 10 min battle on a whip.The 3 hour event was fished in blazing sunny conditions.The current league table ,with , one match remaining is a dead heat for 1st spot, on 21 points, between Adam Tom ,and Tyler. Many thanks to all the helpers and to Summerlands Tackle for their generous help with prizes.
